Tea is a main agricultural product and has been considered as one of the seven prioritized products of Phongsaly province with long history of ancient tea resources of more than 400 years in Loungching village and other 28 villages with plantation tea areas in Phongsaly district and other 6 districts in the province which have average number of production in 3,300 Ton/year of fresh leaves. Those areas are chemical free (organic by default) with such good resource and potential to commercially produce the tea.
